THAT time is upon us again to start planning for Christmas 2018.
For all of us it means something a little different – but in the end it means some form of celebration. And for most it is senseless or even impossible to attempt to do it all ourselves.
Port Vila and Efate in general is blessed with many attractive venues, but there is none finer nor better located than Iririki Island Resort & Spa.
Whether planning a large celebration with an army of workmates or a small intimate gathering with immediate family, you should end the year in style at Iririki Island Resort & Spa.
Here they can cater for anything from a handful of people to up to 200 guests, with a myriad of festive packages and tailored alternatives that are designed to meet every budget whilst celebrating with delectable menus in a stylish, idyllic location. Menus start from VT 3500 per person, so contact their events team (678 35060) now for further information and to receive your special, tailored proposal.
Just spell out your needs and budget and then watch the magic unfold before your eyes on the chosen day. Some people will opt for finger food for their large gatherings with a range of Xmas twists. Smaller groups may head down the traditional route with turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings.
Another group may decide on a seafood Christmas as the way to dine in December in Vanuatu with anything from marinated raw fish through to a whole fish platter. Or perhaps the more expensive seafood choices involving prawns and lobsters. If it is available here, Iririki’s culinary team can transform it into your dream meal or party food. You only have to ask.
And in keeping with the festive spirit that is already flowing across Iririki as December beckons, there will be a set three-course menu available every day from December 1 to 23. The cost is VT4800 per head and begins with an amuse bouche starter. The entrée is prosciutto-wrapped grilled prawns with green mango salad and passionfruit salsa.
There is a choice of two main courses with the first being the traditional roast turkey with a sage and chestnut dressing, rosemary potatoes, home grown vegetables and cranberry sauce. The alternative main is a rolled baby red snapper cooked with fresh butter herbs, served with manioc puree, sauteed baby spinach, grilled vegetables and a white wine saffron sauce.
Dessert is a Christmas platter – with traditional plum pudding, fruit mince pies and petit fours with rum scented crème anglaise. There is also a complimentary glass of house wine. People wanting this Christmas dinner must choose their dates and make a booking to avoid disappointment.
So get your brains into organizing mode and let Iririki do the rest.
