PLAYERS from the three national cricket teams in Vanuatu have visited Azure Pure Water in the lead up to an U19s pre-squad camp which began on Monday and will end on Friday.

Azure Pure Water has been sponsoring Vanuatu Cricket, specifically the National U19s team, for more than a year and are currently one of the main VCA sponsors.

The visit included a tour of the Azure Pure Water factory and a get together with Azure staff later on, with the purpose to help national players understand the sponsor and the hard work that they do in order to be able to support them.

The National Azure Pure Water U19s coach and National Men’s Captain, Andrew Mansale, said that he was pleased with the visit and how it went.

“I am pleased that we had the visit because it was important for our players especially my U19 players, to understand their sponsor and why they are such strong supporters and sponsors for sports,” he said.

“It was a surprise for most of us but also exciting to see the different processes and how much work goes into perfecting and manufacturing a bottle of Azure Pure Water.

“I hope the young boys that are currently in the Azure Pure Water U19s pre-squad have learned the importance of patience and hard work from the visit as they embark on this one week camp with me.”

The currently happening U19s camp will reflect on the importance of hard work, determination and commitment as they explore themselves to find their potential to develop and be the best version of themselves on and off the field.

“The tournament next year is played in the 50 over format so it is important that my players know their own style of play as well as their team mates and understand their individual roles in the team,” Mansale said.

Coach Mansale’s main goal for the camp is to get the players to transition from a T20 cricket mindset to a 50 over cricket mindset as part of the preparation for their U19 World Cup Qualifying tournament next year.

The U19s team will be supported by Azure Pure Water in their tournament next year and the VCA would like to acknowledge their partnership and support for these young boys who will take on the responsibility of flying Vanuatu colors with pride.
