THE Australian Prime Minister will visit Vanuatu on January 16-17, said the Australian High Commission yesterday.
The short message from the High Com said: “We’re excited to announce that Australia’s Prime Minister, The Hon. Scott Morrison MP, will visit Vanuatu from 16 to 17 January 2019. This will be the first official bilateral visit of an Australian Prime Minister to Vanuatu.’’
The media had an inkling about the visit when told of a full eight hour day with a top Australian official on a media bus January 16.
But his itinerary has not been released yet.
There is also a media briefing planned for Tuesday.
